Writer’s grandmother was very religious
minded lady. She was extremely old and could not be more old. Her face was full of wrinkles. Her hair was always spread on muttering her
Prayer and telling the beads of her garland.
In
vacant time, she would spin the
wheel and her lips would move in the prayer. She would get ready to the
writer when he was young. She used
to feed the dogs in the village with crumbs of bread. In the city, she could not find the
dogs in her street, so she would feed the sparrows.
She
did not like the writers education in an English school because there was
nothing related to god in that school. Really the Grandmother was very
affectionate toward the writer. When he went abroad for his higher education she went to
see him off at the station. She
celebrated writers Homecoming with joy.
There
was not a single day when she did not pray to God, Even the sparrows
Express their Sorrow when the
grandmother died. Really she was a pious and virtuous lady.
